Last Friday, we celebrated a special event together: Our 135th company anniversary – and with a programm for all employees, families and friends that was as informative as it was entertaining.
INFO-Safari – Know what’s going on
The day started in the morning with our interactive INFO-Safari ‘Know what’s going on’. Colleagues from the Sustainability, Occupational Safety, Development, People & Culture (HR) and Management departments presented their daily activities at six varied stations – supported by an external guest speaker (dermatologist Dr Linzbach) on the topic of cancer prevention.
With short presentations, illustrative examples and playful formats, our employees were able to obtain in-depth information on key topics, ask questions and gain new insights into other areas of the company.
This cross-divisional exchange was particularly important to us: as we have grown, not only has our team become larger – over 100 people are now part of it – but we also want to promote internal dialogue and strengthen connections.
Our S&S summer party with friends, family and highlights
Our summer party, to which friends and family were also cordially invited, began at 12 noon. A colourful party with culinary highlights awaited our guests in glorious weather: Burgers from Goodman’s, hot dogs from Wurst we can, Neapolitan pizza from Pizzabulli and refreshing aperitivos from Nino’s Ape left nothing to be desired.
The supporting programm was also a hit with young and old alike: whether it was the Tigerenten rodeo, the 18-metre-long obstacle bouncy castle, the football wall, face painting or shuffleboard – there was something for everyone.
The day was accompanied musically by Daniel Jimenez, who performed real all-time hits on guitar and vocals. In the evening, the Rocking Bow Ties, our now well-established cover rock band, ensured an exuberant atmosphere and full dance floors.
A day that connects
Our 135th anniversary was not only a great occasion to celebrate, but also an opportunity to look back and talk. We are grateful for a day full of knowledge, encounters, music and good humour – and look forward to everything that lies ahead.
