As of October, we are part of ÖKOPROFIT® — which is part of the Düsseldorf climate protection programme.
Our newly founded team is working out goals and their implementation on how Schulz & Sohn can act in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. With ÖKOPROFIT® we want to position ourselves in a more ecologically efficient way and at the same time profit from it sustainably.
Central topics of ÖKOPROFIT® are the reduction of water and energy consumption, as well as the reduction of waste and the increase of material efficiency.
The track record for Düsseldorf:
Since the start of ÖKOPROFIT® in 2008, a total of more than 2.8 million euros have been saved. The atmosphere has been spared more than 14,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually over the years. The amount of energy saved, over 32 million kWh, is enough to supply approximately 1,684 three-person households with energy for a year.
