Last year, we launched a partnership with Wim Wenders Gymnasium. We have now had the special opportunity to attend an impressive talk by Dr Christian Klepp.
Thanks to the great commitment of the headteacher, Dr Zeoli, an event was organised for the entire upper school in collaboration with Ms Derya Durukan and Mr Remke. The guest speaker was Dr Christian Klepp, who is currently on tour with his two multi-vision shows, ‘Wunderwerk Erde’ and ‘Wunderwerk Natur’.
Dr Christian Klepp is a nature photographer, author, and speaker. In his presentations, he combines striking nature photography, personal travel experiences and scientific insights into an immersive experience that resonates with people of all ages.
In his approximately 100-minute talk, he captivated the audience with powerful words and spectacular images from his travels around the world. At the same time, he powerfully conveyed just how precious and unique our planet Earth is. His message is as simple as it is significant: everyone can play a part in protecting our planet.
The talk covered topics such as the protection of biodiversity, the responsible use of natural resources, and how conscious choices in everyday life can help us tackle the challenges of climate change. Dialogue, diversity, solidarity, and curiosity about our environment were also central themes.
Dr Klepp himself describes his work as a “declaration of love for our planet”. This attitude was palpable throughout the lecture and left a lasting impression on many participants.
It is almost impossible to convey the full intensity of this talk. The combination of striking images, personal stories and a clear message made the event a special experience.
We highly recommend that anyone interested should take the opportunity to attend a talk by Dr Christian Klepp or explore his works ‘Wunderwerk Erde’ and ‘Wunderwerk Natur’ in more detail. Especially at a time of major global challenges, it is more important than ever to realise just how unique our planet is – and what responsibility we all bear for its future.

For we are all part of this one Earth, which exists in this form only once. And it is up to us to preserve it as a place worth living in for future generations.
