The charity regatta “Düsseldorf am Ruder — für Menschen mit Krebs” is an outstanding event in Düsseldorf’s Media Harbour in support of people with cancer.
Every year, companies, clubs, schoolchildren, families, and friends get into the boats to row together for a good cause, showing sporting ambition, solidarity, and humanity.
Schulz & Sohn has been proud to participate in this special regatta since 2015.
The charity regatta is much more than just a sporting event for our company. It is a symbol of cohesion, team spirit and deep commitment to supporting people with cancer. For this reason, we have set up a Hall of Fame in our company that immortalises all teams and every regatta.
Participation is a matter close to our hearts and is therefore firmly anchored in our corporate culture.
This year, it was with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to a highly valued colleague who passed away after a long illness. Thorsten Schwarz was not only a dedicated employee, but also an enthusiastic participant in the rowing regatta. He rowed several times for a good cause and was passionate about supporting people with cancer. His loss has affected us deeply and made us realise once again how important our commitment to this cause is.
We would also like to encourage every company in Düsseldorf to take part in the regatta to send a strong signal of solidarity and support.
Let’s row together and show that Düsseldorf is there for cancer patients.
Every additional participation makes a difference. Together we can achieve great things!
