Girls’ Day 2026: Insights into Engineering, Logistics and Maintenance

We have been taking part in Girls’ Day for many years because we firmly believe that career guidance requires real-world insights.

Particularly in technical and logistics fields, it is important to us to show just how varied the work here is and how many opportunities exist beyond traditional gender roles.

On 23 April 2026, we once again took part under the motto “Insights into day-to-day work in Engineering / Logistics / Maintenance & Repair” and offered several internship places.

For us, this was about more than just a one-day event. We want to promote equal opportunities, support career guidance free from stereotypes and offer young people perspectives they might not otherwise have seen. The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals also play an important role for us in this regard.

We were all the more delighted to welcome Marie, Lara and Iniya to our company this year.

After a joint safety briefing, they got straight down to practical work. The three were able to explore different areas and thus gain a real insight into everyday working life.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. They particularly enjoyed the hands-on participation and trying things out. Driving the forklift was a real highlight, and our ‘volcano’ also sparked lots of curious questions and discussions.

Marie then spoke very openly about her impressions, speaking on behalf of the group as well.

In the end, one thing stands out for us above all else: an exciting, lively day filled with new experiences and enthusiastic young visitors.

In recognition of our involvement, we have once again received a certificate confirming our successful participation and highlighting our contribution to more diverse career guidance.
