As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, Schulz & Sohn will be transitioning from single-use water bottles to modern drinking water dispensers starting in August. Last year, we consumed approximately 14,000 liters of water in PET bottles—equivalent to around 100 cases of water per month. This transition marks a significant step toward a more environmentally friendly future.

Here are the benefits of the transition:

• Environmental Friendliness: By eliminating plastic bottles, we significantly reduce both plastic waste and CO2 emissions.
• Convenience: The new water dispensers are easy to use and eliminate the hassle of carrying bottles.
• High Water Quality: Our water is regularly tested and meets the highest quality standards.
• Cost Reduction: The transition results in lower deposit and labor costs, freeing up budget for other important projects.
• Hygiene: The dispensers provide clean, freshly filtered water without the risk of contamination.

All employees will receive personalized 700ml bottles that can be refilled at four stations within the company. Choices include still, cold, and sparkling water—according to individual preference. The water dispensers will be regularly maintained to ensure consistently high quality.

This measure is another step in our effort to operate more sustainably and reduce our environmental footprint. We are confident that this transition will be highly beneficial for both the company and the environment.
